Founded in 1900, The Sincere Company Limited is one of the Hong Kong’s oldest and most respected retail groups. During 1930s to 1940s, Sincere was reputed as top of the four largest department stores in Shanghai. While retailing continues to be the core business of Sincere, the Group has diversified into property investment, property development, securities trading, advertising agency, and travel agency franchising. Since 1972, Sincere has become a listed company on the main board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. As at the last reported financial statements in February 2013, the Group has recorded a net asset value of around HK$700 million and has employed over 500 employees.
